People: Youth Chorale...

High school aged students with a passion for singing and experience singing in choirs are encouraged to audition for the choir on Sunday, August 30, 2009 (2-5PM) and Monday, August 31, 2009 (5:30-8:30PM.)

CHRISTOPHER M. SMITH, Director

Christopher M. Smith, assistant director of the Greenville Choral Society Youth Chorale, is native to Greenville, NC. He received his Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at East Carolina University. Since 2006, he has served as Worship Pastor at Faith Assembly of God, directing the choir, band, and overseeing all artistic ministry; he is a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. 

While still a high school student in Greenville, he sang for a period of four years with the Youth Chorale, the organization he now conducts. He also won first place at the piano for three consecutive years at the IPHC national talent finals, and he accompanies the choirs of D.H. Conley and South Central High Schools.
