
Sandro Silva
Concert Choir
Sandro Silva is from São Paulo, Brazil. He Earned a bachelor’s degree in piano performance from Cruzeiro do Sul University and an artist performance certificate in piano accompanying from the Brazilian Conservator of Music in Rio de Janeiro. A versatile keyboard artist, Mr. Silva has extensive experience as a chamber musician. He has service as a collborative pianist with many choirs, as well as solo recital and opera artists. He worked for tenty years as a rehear pianist, pit musician and music director of many original productions of Broadway and West End titles in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
For over two decades, Mr. Silva has served as a church musician in a number of churches in São Paulo, Brazil. Since January 2019, Mr. Silva has held the position of Organist for The Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville, North Carolina. He has served as a guest organist and organ recitalist at churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama, and Virginia. Internationally, Mr. Silva has performed in major concert halls and churches in Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, and France. He has participated in master classes with noted organists from Europe and the United States, including Silvio Celeghin (Italy), Martin Sander (Germany) Faythe Freese, Katelyn Emerson, and Alcée Chriss (USA).
Mr. Silva is a second year graduate student in Sacred Music and Organ Performance at East Carolina University. His teachers in sacred music and organ have included Dr. David Arcus, and Dr. Filippa Duke. Mr. Silva is making his debut as collaborative pianist for Greenville Choral Society's Concert Choir with these December 2022 concerts.
