Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship Recipients

Caley Singleton
2020 Recipient
​

Caley Singleton was the 2020 recipient of the the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship! Caley is a graduate from South Central High School in Winterville and has been a member of the Youth Chorale all 4 years of high school.  She attended the NC Governor's School for Music in 2018 and has also been a member of the Pitt County Schools All-County Chorus, the NC All-State Chorus, and has been an active performer in her school's musical theater program as well as at her church.  Caley will be attending East Carolina University in Greenville, NC to study Music Education.

Robert Dale Cox
2019 Recipient

Dale Cox was the 2019 recipient of the the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship! Dale is a graduate from D.H. Conley High School in Greenville, NC and he is currently attending East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where he is majoring in Music Education with an emphasis in instrumental conducting. While Euphonium and flute are his major instruments, he will continue to sing with the Greenville Choral Society Concert Choir.

2018 Recipient

Noelle Smith was the 2018 recipient of the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship! Noelle is a graduate from J.H. Rose High School in Greenville and she is currently attending Belmont University in Tennessee to study Music Industry.  Make sure to catch her and her guitar around town!

​Rafael Garcia was the 2017 recipient of the the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship! Rafael is a graduate of South Central High School in Winterville and he is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro studying Music Education and Performance.

Jai Spell
2014 Recipient


Jai Spell was the 2014 recipient of the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship. She was a graduate of J.H. Rose High School in Greenville, NC. She attended East Carolina University where she majored in Vocal Performance, graduating in 2018. She is now pursuing her Masters in Vocal Performance at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Caroline Vaughan
2011 Recipient

Caroline Vaughan was the 2011 recipient of the Rhonda Fleming Music Study Scholarship. She was a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy in Kinston, NC. She attended East Carolina University where she majored in Vocal Performance, graduating in 2015. She now resides in Raleigh and is a soprano scholar at Christ Church, Raleigh (Episcopal).

​Bryant Pollock
2006 Recipient

Countertenor, Dr. Bryan Pollock is a native of Snow Hill, NC and earned degrees in voice performance from East Carolina University (BM), the University of CA Irvine (MFA), and Boston University (DMA).  He has performed in over twenty fully-staged operatic productions with lead roles such as Giulio Cesare from Händel's Giulio Cesare in Egitto, Oberon from Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Refugee from Dove’s Flight and Orfeo from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.  Additionally, he has performed in a variety of choral venues featured in Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Bach’s Magnificat, and Handel’s Messiah.

Sarah Blizzard

2004 Recipient

Sarah Blizzard graduated with a BA and MA in Communication Studies from UNCG where she also minored in Music. In August 2018, she completed her EdD in Higher Education from the University of Denver. While in Denver, she sang with the Denver Women's Chorus and played piano for their small ensemble, TakeNote!. Sarah has recently returned to the East Coast and is looking for another great choral community to get involved with!
